SURGERY OPENING TIMES
Doors open: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6.15pm
Phone lines: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 6.30pm
When the phone lines are closed, an asnswerphone message will give details of
how to contact a duty doctor should urgent medical attention be required.
Extended Hours
We are now offering extended hours which are specifically designed to be booked in advance for people who have difficulty getting to the surgery in normal hours. The appointments are pre-bookable only and will become available on the system two weeks ahead of each surgery. The government has advised that it is not to be used for urgent appointments and as such any urgent need to see a doctor out of hours will go through to our 'out-of-hours' providers. These appointments can be made either at reception or by telephoning.
Out Of Hours
The practice is a member of the
Herts Urgent Care out-of-hours service. Outside normal surgery hours, please
telephone and our answering machine will tell you who to contact - please have
a pen and paper available. After 6.30pm on weekdays, on all weekends and bank
holidays, calls will be taken by telephone number 03000 333 333.
About Herts Urgent Care
Herts Urgent Care is staffed by GPs from the local area and works from a centre based at Hertford
County Hospital.
If you need emergency medical attention you will normally be asked to attend
the centre although there are facilities to visit you at home.
Please do not go to HUC without phoning first because the service is run by appointment
only.
